Day 2

Galle

After Breakfast does the city tour in Colombo and reaches to Galle en-route visit the Galle Fort.

Colombo

Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, has a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. That heritage is reflected in its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls. The imposing Colombo National Museum, dedicated to Sri Lankan history, borders sprawling Viharamahadevi Park and its giant Buddha.

 

Galle Fort

Galle is a city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It’s known for Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Stone sea walls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church. Galle Lighthouse stands on the fort’s southeast tip.

Day 3

Yala

After breakfast proceeds to Yala and check-in to the hotel in Yala.

The evening gets the experience of wildlife in Yala National park.

Yala National Park

Yala National Park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. It’s home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species. Inland, Sithulpawwa is an ancient Buddhist monastery. Nearby caves contain centuries-old rock paintings. Southwest, Magul Maha Viharaya also has ancient Buddhist ruins. Both are pilgrimage sites.

Day 4

Ella

After breakfast drives to Ella and enjoy the beauty of the nature in Ella.

Evening do the city tour in Ella.

Ella

Ella is a small town in the Badulla District of Uva Province, Sri Lanka governed by an Urban Council. It is approximately 200 kilometres east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1,041 metres above sea level. The area has a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna.

Evening visit the Nine Arches Bridge

Nine Arches Bridge

The Nine Arch Bridge also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a bridge in Sri Lanka. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese builder, P. K. Appuhami, in consultation with British engineers.

Day 6

Kandy

After Breakfast proceeds to Ella station and gets the train to Nanu Oya.

Get down from the Nanu Oya station with beautiful sceneries and reach to Kandy by vehicle again

Check-in to the hotel and evening visit the Kandy temple.

Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Later in the evening conduct a sightseeing tour of Kandy, where you will be able to visit the gem museum, wood carving, batik factory, and local market.

Kandy

After breakfast proceeds to Peradeniya and visit the Royal Botanical garden and back to the hotel.

Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is near the Mahaweli River. It is renowned for its collection of orchids,

Day 8

Dambulla

After breakfast proceeds to Dambulla, en-route visit the Dambulla cave temple and check-in to the hotel.

Located in the north-central province this UNESCO World Heritage Site which dates back to the 01st century BC, is an amazing complex of 05 caves, first used as a refuge by an ancient king who on regaining his throne, commissioned magnificent carved images within the living rock, Later kings made further improvements and the caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is a colossal figure spanning 15 meters. Cave inscriptions from the 2nd Century BC are found and on the walls are many paintings most of which belong to the Kandy period (early 19th century). This temple is a perfect location to view the evolution of ancient Sri Lankan art and is an important historical site due to the amalgamation of the material from many eras.

Day 9

Dambulla

After breakfast makes a visit of Rock Fortress in Sigiriya.

Sigiriya This UNESCO World Heritage Site, a spectacular Rock Fortress, is one of Sri Lanka’s major attractions. The most impressive facets of the unique complex are the Water Gardens, the Frescoes of beautiful maidens, the Mirror Wall with ancient graffiti, the Lion platform and the Summit of 1.6 hectares, which was completely covered by buildings during the period of Sigiriya’s glory. Built by King Kashyapa (477-495 A.D), the “Lion Rock” is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200m from the scrub jungle.

The afternoon gets the experience of a local village in Sigiriya.

Your Guide cum driver will pick up from centrally located Sigiriya hotel & drive by a Safari jeep to Ehelegala village, a beautiful rural area in Sigiriya city. Trincomalee

After breakfast proceeds to Northeast coast for getting the lovely beach experience in Trincomalee, en-route visit Passikudah is largely untouched compared with other beaches around the island, making it the ideal spot to soak some rays and discover the vibrant marine life beneath the azure waves.

Indulge in some popular water sports such as scuba diving and snorkelling, and feast your eyes on an uncharted world of wonders lingering in the crystalline waters of Pasikudah Bay. Koggala / Airport

After breakfast drive to Negombo, on the way visit  Anuradhapura.

Anuradhapura City

Visit the 1st ancient capital of Sri Lanka and the city sacred to Buddhists. Visit the sacred Bo tree (Ficus Religiosa) the sapling brought from North India under which Buddha attained illumination. The Brazen Palace with its 1600 granite columns, the Ruwanveliseya. The ruins of the Abhayagiri and Jetavanarama monasteries, the Samadhi Buddha statue and the twin ponds.

And start a journey to Negombo and check-in to the hotel.
